As we are seemingly closer than ever to disclosure of some kind, be it catastrophic or controlled, I have been thinking a lot about the timeliness of it. I haven’t totally gathered all my thoughts on this but I wanted to at least start a discussion.
Why now? Why does it seem like more than ever are we seeing UAPs, hearing from more and more people and seeing more stories on the topic of NHI and UAPs? Is it that our world is more connected and “news” just travels faster and further? That probably had a lot to due with it but I am seeking a deeper meaning to the fever pitch we seem to reaching.
Let’s assume for a minute that there are NHI among us and that there will be disclosure soon. What if it is all related to AI? I am a believer in the Great Filter theory and feel that it could give us a good explanation for why we don’t see intelligent life everywhere we look in the cosmos. What if one of those filters in front of us is the emergence of AGI? Is it possible that AGI has a tendency to wipe out it’s creator. Is that what makes intelligent biological life rare and unique? Are these NHI that visit and possibly live on Earth here to stop that from happening or at least warn us of the dangers and potentially guide us past this filter?
You could argue that we would be seeing signs and evidence of AGI in the cosmos if that were the case but I would argue that maybe they have reached a point where they can go undetected if sufficiently advanced enough.
I’m sure this has been covered but reddit searches generally suck so forgive me if I missed it.
