saw something unidentifiable from airplane window then later felt as though my memory had been tampered with ?

hey y’all, I’m not even on reddit but my friend told me to do this because it’s a mystery to me…

i was on a flight from NYC to Detroit in November headed home for Thanksgiving with my family. I always get a window seat because i get anxiety but looking out helps soothe me for whatever reason. While I was looking out the window I saw an object that I had never seen anything like in my life — i can barely explain it in writing. It had a few blinking red lights but it looked like black rubber tubing that was interlocking in a geometric way and the red lights were at intersections of the material.

Its hard to say if it was in motion or if i was just moving very fast but i remember my head turning in order to follow it with my eyes and just like that it was gone and out of sight. That’s not the weird part of this story. What’s weird is that soon after seeing it, I fell asleep and when I woke up, I looked out the window and upward and had the conscious thought “wouldn’t it be cool if i saw a UFO?” I was under no influence of any substances btw. Okay and weirder still —- completely forgot about all of this happening until two days later on my moms back porch chatting with my sister and looking up at the moon.

What the fuck happened ? Lol
