Admiral R. H. Hillenkoetter was the first chief of the CIA and was concerned about UFOs, he wanted a big investigation but for some reason the Airfroce opposed him. Just like the airforce is doing today by being super quiet and trying to ignore the subject. The airforce definitely knows something but the question is what and why they keep in so secret.
