MUFON says “no critical data has been compromised or lost”

Members of MUFON just received an update from the organization’s CEO on the recent data breach. Here are the key points:

“All but a tiny bit of the CMS data is intact and safe. No critical data has been compromised or lost. All sites and programs have been recovered.”

The email closes with the comment that “Due to the nature of the forensic investigations, there is little more that I can publish at this time.”

It’s been a while since I logged onto the site, but it could sure use a ground-up redesign IMO. Anyway, thought this was interesting.
