a) That experiences of ‘paranormal’ phenomenon are caused by an intelligence (or intelligences) with an extraterrestrial origin.
b) That the actual content of paranormal experiences is deceptive and cannot be accepted at face value.
They say everything around us is ~13.7 billion years old, that the oldest known planet is 12.8 billion years old and that the formation of our solar system and of Earth occurred 4.6 billion years ago, so presumably the antecedents of any alien intelligence that interacts with us could have passed through a stage of development analogous to ours at any point between as early as ~8.5 billion years ago up to relatively recently.
I think it likely, given the time scales, that this intelligence or intelligences must have reached beyond the point where production of thought and material requires labor inputs from living beings, and that it or they are also likely immortal having developed the means to perpetuate its or their consciousness or consciousnesses indefinitely.
I think that, in addition to whatever it or they are able to effect physically, this extraterrestrial intelligence is capable of remotely inducing hypnotic trances, hallucinations, amnesia and emotional states, implanting memories and remotely influencing decision-making in people, and that these techniques make up for a considerable portion of what people experience during paranormal encounters.
I think that likely its or their reasons for interfering in the lives of individual humans, whatever they are, must be a psychological need on its or their part and not be on account any material need they have.
And based on its or their apparent lack of compassion or sympathy for the people whose lives they are affecting and of life on Earth in general, I think it stands to reason that this psychological need of theirs likely has absolutely nothing to do with human welfare and must be quite base (such as to induce terror, confusion & awe in their victims and to get away with it without spurring the human race into recognition and opposition to it/them).
Just considering ostensibly extraterrestrial paranormal encounters, there are numerous hints to suggest that what abductees and UFO experiencers outwardly experience cannot be taken as honest representations of the reality belying these experiences. For instance:
UFO sightings are widespread and frequent throughout the whole world and are often presented to witnesses as purely chance events, yet not even mass sightings ever result in particularly compelling photographic or video evidence as to the existence of UFOs, which suggests that every UFO sighting is a planned occurrence. Also, why are these vehicles so often adorned with lights? What possible purpose do they serve? Alien abductions are presented as being conducted for research purposes or possibly medical checkups, yet it is doubtful that whatever the intelligence is that is behind these experiences is at all concerned with the physical health of experiencers, and there have been so many of these abductions that it is doubtful there is anything left about human physiology for them to explore. It also stands to reason that this intelligence could have already become well acquainted with human physiology long before the 20th century. Many abductees report being warned about an impending catastrophe and are shown images of the Earth consumed by fire yet no details about what will cause this catastrophe are relayed and the abductees are generally not in a position to convey this information to society at large without being perceived as crazy. Abductees are made to believe they have fathered or acted as surrogates for alien-human hybrid offspring that are sometimes presented to them causing emotional distress, yet it is not clear how 2 creatures that originated on different worlds can create offspring or what purpose this could possibly serve. Alien abductions often involve the alien apparitions and human abductees themselves travelling through solid objects (closed windows, walls, ceilings and floors). Perhaps I’m mistaken but I feel it is more likely that this aspect of abduction experiences isn’t something that actually occurs and that the visions of this and like occurrences (including apparitions vanishing into thin air) are visions remotely transmitted to experiencers while they are in suggestible states rather than a capability like this actually existing enabling biological entities to somehow pass through solid objects. From what I grasp, the metal implants that have been removed from abductees’ bodies and examined are just inert metal with possibly some peculiarity but no apparent function. What is the point? There are a lot of similarities and overlap between the ostensibly extraterrestrial paranormal experiences and the ostensibly supernatural paranormal experiences suggesting that the two have a common cause despite them supposedly being of two different natures (spirits vs. Alien beings). What experiencers see and hear often differ markedly when there is more than one experiencer suggesting that they are individually being presented with different visions (or, perhaps, that the means for inducing these visions are imperfect and unintentionally create these variations?). For instance, some of the Ariel school children perceived the being with long, black hair, others saw it without hair, some saw it moving with a gait, others saw it gliding across the ground without moving its legs.
Here is a popular science article from 2012 on elements heavier than hydrogen and helium (called “metals” in astronomy) existing in quantities sufficient to form rocky planets as early as 12-13 billion years ago: https://www.space.com/17441-universe-heavy-metals-planet-formation.html
