A redditor posted that Ross alluded that the building may have been in Australia. The two sites most favoured would be Pine Gap or Exmouth. Pine gap is in the middle of the Australian landmass and was apparently located there so that the signal could not be interfered with by water borne adversarial systems. Exmouth site was apparently scouted after a 10 year search and selected in 1963. The British conducted Nuclear tests 120klm north of the site in 1956. The Australian Prime Minister disappeared 1 year after the site was commissioned and was later named in his honor. The site is prone to cyclone activity and remote when building commenced the closet city was Perth 750 klm away along a dirt rd. The base is currently operated under contract by Raytheon Australia.
