(Disclaimer: I am NOT a skeptic NOR a proponent of government secrecy revolving around the UAP issue. I’m just asking questions and trying to find a rational reason of why this may be.)
The assumption here is that world governments have already made contact with non-human intelligence. Assume further that we don’t know their (NHI) intent.
But the question I keep asking myself is this: what if the government keeping secrecy about the issue is, in fact, protecting us from a very real, global threat? Is dragging the feet on disclosure actually helping us?
Here’s what I think this scenario might look like:
Assume the NHI can traverse (physically) across great distances in our galaxy in a relatively short amount of time, but have figured out a way to do it with physics we can’t quite understand yet. It is possible? Sure. Likely? I don’t know. However, given a civilization sufficiently advanced to traverse space in such a manner, I think it would be safe to assume that the NHI are capable of artificial intelligence which can advance enough with predictive technology to foresee multiple outcomes for our world. A “crystal ball,” if you will.
This hypothesis also slides in neatly to ultra-dimensional theories and temporal manipulation as well, I think. Insert your favorite time-traveler, unified consciousness, or whatever theory here.
Now, if there’s one way to beat someone who knows potential futures, Hollywood tells us we need to be kept in the dark of any overarching plan, as to make it more difficult for something with precognition (or insane amounts of quantum and meta-data) to figure out which reality or time-line you’re really on. Lue Elizondo spoke on a podcast about how our problems with NHI may accelerate if the cat is out of the bag, and there would be no need for them to hide if we knew they were here.
What if having a unified global awareness of the issue simply removes most of the curtains behind the NHI’s crystal ball here and gives them a direct route to our timeline/reality/dimension/planet.
“But wait! This phenomenon has been going on for millennia, they already know where/when we are!”
Sure. But which “they” are you referring to? Are you assuming “they” are all the same? I don’t think so.
Danny Sheehan spoke about a galactic federation. Perhaps we’ve been protected for millennia, and maybe their protection can only hold out for so long.
Elizondo also said on a podcast that all we really have to do is wait a handful of years and there will be no questions anymore. Between him, and former CIA officer John Ramirez talking about 2027, maybe something really is on the horizon.
TL:DR If we’re powerless against NHI which are capable of “seeing through time” then our best bet may be to confuse them with too many possible outcomes by not knowing the real one ourselves. Perhaps the government knows this and is trying to keep our heads buried in the sand.
