Strange streak in night sky, seems to come into atmosphere, disappear, reappear and exit? Pictures are in sequence!

This strange streak in the night sky had a long tail and bright glow that gained my attention in pic 1. Pic 2, 10 second later no streak, slowing down, I guessed. The strange part is it disappeared for a few seconds. The hard part for me to understand is after it reappears in pic 3 it looks like it started to increase speed and regains a streak again in pic 4 one minute after pic 3, although not as big as pic 1. The final pic 5 is right before it disappeared from view. Can anyone tell me what my son and I witnessed on February 22, 2024? I have never seen anything like this. These pictures are sequential and the object disappears between pic 3 and pic 4 for 1-3 seconds. I’m lost for words.
