Green blinking light Scotland

Was briefly stood outside tonight and saw something I’m unable to explain away;

Saw a blinking green light, at first I assumed it was a plane and didn’t think much of it until its movements became very erratic.

The time between each blink of light always remained the same however, the distance it travelled between each blink changed drastically and appeared to be without pattern.

Its movements began in a straight line then suddenly changed direction (approx 90 degrees from where the previous blink of light was), it then changed direction again but this time there was a massive distance between where the last blink and next blink were. At one point it hovered in one spot for a while. Very quickly it blinked its way across the sky (again, the distance between blinks grew larger but the time between blinks stayed the same) before it eventually disappeared.

The size of it was similar to looking at a bright star/high up plane, it’s also very cloudy so I know it wasn’t low down in the sky as it did disappear behind the clouds at times.

By the time I got my phone out to try and record it, and get my camera focused on the sky it was moving too fast for me/my phone to keep up with.

Has anyone else seen something like this? Its movements were unlike anything I have ever seen and it’s something I won’t be able to forget easily.
