I was watching the attached link while eating lunch today, and at one point, Tony Stark says that he privatized national security. He also says that he will not share the technology with anyone, and that we’re safe because of that same tech. That got me thinking; what if the exotic, unconventional craft that people are witnessing is in fact the result of private industry creating technology for the purpose of national defense, but are refusing to disclose the details in order to ensure that neither other industries nor our adversaries are able to duplicate it and use it against us? Can it be that we’re safe because affluent private citizens are enabling national security? Are the incursions at military bases and encounters during military exercises (USS Nimitz/tic tac) just examples of private citizens demonstrating how they can both enable and disable nuclear forces, plus run circles around conventional tech? All terrestrial? Lend me your thoughts.
