A theory on why America doesn’t seem worried about other governments disclosing.

What if, since Roswell, America has been “policing” the entire world not to keep the peace, but so they can quickly seize any and all non human technology. Think about it. We’re the only country with military bases almost everywhere. We’ve had multiple invasions on other countries that were started under false pretenses (Gulf of Tonkin and the invasion of Afghanistan to name a few). The CIA allegedly recovered a craft from Italy after WWII with some help from the Vatican. If any other world superpower does have recovered tech then they would most likely be far behind us in terms of reverse engineering. I thought it was an interesting hypothesis and am interested in what you all think.
