Is it possible there are criteria for the disclosure/release of breakthrough technology to the general public that cannot be disclosed before they are acted upon?
My obvious suggestion is that something like population reduction could be needed before giving people tech like zero point energy to avoid placing too much strain on planetary resources.
Do you agree? Do you think something else entirely?
