location: citrus heights, CA, USA date and time : 7:08pm march 9, 2024 bearing: N heading: ~NE shape: amalgamous fireball color: orange unnatural characteristics: seemed to be comprised of a single source of light, which warbled along in its path in the sky at a discernable speed in a calculated, yet non-uniform path
while heading out to dinner, i looked up from my car to see what looked like an orange ball of fire traveling in the sky, within the atmosphere, beneath any kind of cloud cover.
it continued in what could be described as in a corkscrew pattern and was visible until it faded away, but the light was not consistent. it ebbed and flowed, along with the general fireball shape. there was no discernable tail (space junk), trail, wings or material associated with it.
this set of phenomena was visible to my wife and i for roughly 45 seconds to one minute and while the video is natually shitty, there is a frame or two that are clearer than the rest.
it was strange how much we were both like “oh huh” about the situation, and i only remembered a couple days ago that i got a video, and after seeing the sacramento post, i decided to share, and see if maybe this rings anybody’s bells
