Hey, r/UFOs community! I’m reaching out to you all for some valuable insights and information as I prepare for a classroom activity this trimester. I teach a philosophy class in college where students delve into various topics, utilizing critical thinking tools in a practical context. This time around, they’ve chosen to discuss the possibility of extraterrestrial life.
Our exploration will include introductory concepts in astrobiology, covering the Fermi paradox, Drake equation, exoplanets, Rare Earth theory, and more, obviously! However, I also want to throw in discussions on the UFO phenomenon into our curriculum. That’s where I need your expertise!
I’ll be dedicating around 4 hours to this specific aspect of the topic, and I believe it’s crucial to present a balanced view, infused with healthy skepticism. My aim is to empower my students to form their own opinions, guided by critical analysis.
So, what do you consider essential information when discussing the UFO phenomenon?
