My UFO sighting experience

From as early as I can remember, around the age of three, my fascination with the night sky was sparked by my first sighting of a satellite. Growing up in India, I would spend countless evenings gazing upwards, lost in thought about the cosmos, the planets, and the moon. I used to read a lot about UFO’s, area 51, underground tunnels etc., There was a time when my dream was to delve into space sciences, driven by an insatiable appetite for reading anything related to UFOs. So I already heard a bit about other peoples experiences which helped me process it quickly when it happened to me.

My story takes place in 2007(or 2008 I need to check as its been many years) , in the small coastal town in India where I reside, a fair distance from the nearest city. One evening, I was on the terrace(Top of the house) of my friend’s three-story building, enjoying the company and the view. Suddenly, my attention was captured by a pink light moving in a straight line across the sky. Initially, I mistook it for a satellite, but it abruptly stopped, hovering for about five seconds before darting off in a completely different direction—an impossibility for any satellite. This object, seemingly as distant as a star yet slightly larger, exhibited erratic, high-speed maneuvers that defied any conventional explanation.

As I continued to watch, mesmerized, a second pink light joined the first, both moving with astonishing speed and agility. I kept watching them and In total I saw 5 objects hovering, doing extreme maneuvers like moving in opposite directions suddenly, moving in right angle, almost colliding with each other, vanish but appear again(probably turning off their lights or disappearing) Their movements reminded me of children playing in a playground, spontaneous and uncoordinated. This aerial display lasted for an intense hour and 45 minutes, during which I attempted to capture the spectacle with my friend’s digital camera. Unfortunately, the technology of the time wasn’t up to the task, and the images failed to do justice to what I had witnessed. Had the photos been clearer, they might have shown nothing more than points of light, indistinguishable from stars. As I mentioned I lived in a Coastal town so this was happening towards the ocean so they were probably hovering above the Bay of Bengal.

This experience, unexplainable and unforgettable, has stayed with me, reinforcing my belief in the vast, mysterious universe that surrounds us.

I do not know whether it is man made or of extraterrestrial but I knew ufo’s were real back then. Reading the stories and seeing around 5 at once hovering doing extreme maneuvers convinced me they are real. However, it was so difficult to keep focused on the tiny lights in the sky. I eventually lost interest for that night and told myself “f*k it, there is nothing I can do about it. I can’t even take a photo.” But, I am glad at least my best friend has also witnessed for few mins with me. I have someone to talk about it and talk about at least once every few months when we get updates from Pentagon etc.,

This is an example of what I saw. This video differentiates various objects in night vision. The last part is the ufo. In this video we see only one ufo but when I had sighting I saw 5 of them moving at the same speed as in the video. https://www.reddit.com/r/UFOs/comments/nqj4o4/birds_satellites_plane_and_ufo_that_changes/
