How do aliens fit into simulation theory?

I had a weird thought and wondered if anyone else had thought about this before.

There’s a fair amount of evidence that we’re living in a simulation, if you consider things like the double slit experiment and how we’re already building our own simulations with AI etc.

I’ve often thought you’d set up a simulation to study human behaviour (maybe this is arrogant of me) and you’d make almost every other planet impossible to get to by making the max speed possible the speed of light.

If this is a simulation, why do you think the builder of the simulation would put aliens in the simulations what’s their purpose?
