Good afternoon,
I am considering voting for (candidate) in the upcoming election and I wanted to inquire about their stance regarding the investigation and controlled disclosure of Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP). Last July, retired intelligence officer David Grusch gave sworn testimony to the house oversight committee alleging that programs to recover and reverse-engineer craft and technology of non-human origin are being funded through the misappropriation of government funds and illegally concealed from congressional oversight. Furthermore, Mr. Grusch’s whistleblower complaint of reprisals against him was deemed credible and urgent by the intelligence community inspector general.
I was pleased to see Majority Leader Schumer put forward the UAP Disclosure Act of 2023 as an amendment to last year’s NDAA, but unfortunately, it was almost entirely gutted in conference. I don’t know what is happening in our airspace, but I do know that there have been credible allegations leveled against our government of misappropriation of funds, both professional and violent reprisals to maintain secrecy, and it’s clear that current efforts to investigate these issues are not doing nearly enough to restore the faith of the public in the transparency of our armed services and intelligence community. I believe that we need men and women in Congress who are not afraid to stand up and use their congressional authority to investigate these issues, and it is my hope that (Candidate) shares these concerns or is willing to learn more about them.
Regards,
