Am I the only one to see similarities between the current vision of the phenomenan and David Lynch legacy?

To be specific, if we try to think through the version where the aliens are inter/extradimensional and all that. That pretty much makes them smth like the characters from the Tween Peaks’ Black Lodge. Wanna consider the option of “them feeding off of our fear” stuff? Man, that’s garmanbozia (sorry for my English, it’s not my native language). And further on – the stuff about electricity/magnetics timefuckery and all that. The concept of Judy from the first atomic bladt, etc. Sometimes that seems to me like Lynch managed to lood behind the drapes without being able to fully understand or broqdcast exactly what the hell it was that he saw.
