“Been researching and discussing the advanced aliens that were here as shown in out historical records. They were not pacifists. As they had several battles one destroyed a planet beyond mars, then the battle moved to mars where they stripped the atmosphere with weapons and the survivors from the multiple races then came to earth as a last resort. Only ape men were here when they came. It’s written they might lived 10s of thousands of years or more. They again had battles amongst themselves destroying most life, once with asteroids that when dropped on ice caps flooded the planet and then nuclear wars that wiped out a lot of their advanced tech. Some eventually got rescued but others remain. And are here still…”

Me: “Did you have the ts/sci clearance ever?”
Him: “Yes. And a few more Levels above that…”
Fits in with the whole “regular people wont be able to handle the truth” kinda thing.
