Last night in Orange County, CA. This is our second sighting of the same thing, but it really doesn’t look like a normal drone to me. Anyone seen something similar?

First sighting–in January, my partner and I saw a white orb (she posted about it here somewhere) while we were out walking our dog at around 10pm. It flew overhead, very high up, changed directions a couple times, and stopped. It hovered in one spot and fluctuated in brightness, now very very high up (higher than any drone I’ve ever seen). Then, it glowed very bright and dropped very suddenly, then disappeared completely. About a minute later, it reappeared, glowing bright and moving in an opposite direction. It disappeared again. There was no sound.

Second sighting–last night my partner and I were out walking our dog at around 9pm in the same neighborhood. We saw a drone (maybe two?) flying around and pointed it out. We continued walking, and I noticed a very bright white light in the sky ahead of us. We stopped, because I thought it looked very familiar to the one we saw before, and it was brighter than any stars/planets. I watched it smoothly move to another position, then hover again, so I started recording. It hovered for a minute, then moved in one direction, then another, occasionally glowing brighter or dimming. It circled back, hovered, changed light intensities, and moved around a bit more. I followed it, and it eventually disappeared, just as it had in our first sighting of this thing. I kept looking for the usual signs of a drone, like the wobbling motion and other lights, but there were none. Its movement was very smooth and all I could see was an odd orb-shaped light that glowed very bright at times.
