Did anybody see the bright flashing lighting up the sky in O’Fallon/Lake St Louis Mo?

Tonight while driving east from wentville mo. on hwy 40 at 10:40ish I noticed the sky lighting up like lightning. I didn’t think much but when I saw what was creating it, it was not lightning. It was just a ball flashing immensely the whole highway slowed down. It was blinding the it was just gone. Does anybody have video or did y ou see it. I live here it was not a plane it was not anything from the area. Nothing like I’ve ever seen I wish I recorded it I’m so disappointed in myself I might got a couple flashes. Totally insane.
