An outsider view on Rep. Burlison and disclosure

I’m an outsider to US politics, I live in the UK. I’m not here to compare our politics with yours – I believe they’re both trash and it’s not the sub for it. That being said, I’ve been keeping a close eye on Representative Burlison as he’s been quite outspoken about disclosure and some of the processes of recent. I recently saw a tweet from him that in short, said he didn’t vote on a particular bill because he couldn’t accept working with or siding with Democrats. Aside from this being pretty shady speech for a fricking adult… I don’t see any sort of way of him treating disclosure as a bipartisan issue. In other words, if people like him won’t work with others simply because they belong to a different party, then wtf is going to actually get done with regards to disclosure? It’s a shame to see others using this mentality and it’s a hindrance to the disclosure movement. I want to hear your thoughts on this as an outsider to the dynamics of US politics. I see the UAP / NHI issue as something that transcends the tribalism of party politics.
