To anyone asking “why don’t they just land on the White House lawn and announce themselves?”

I used to wonder why NHI never did this. Then I started watching the chipmunks in my back yard. Hear me out….

To those chipmunks, I must seem like what NHI seems like to us; I’m more intelligent, I’m powerful enough to kill them if I choose to (luckily I’m nice), I bring them gifts they can’t possibly understand (an endless supply of nuts and cheerios), and they’ll never be able to understand my culture or intentions.

The argument that NHI should make some grand entrance and announcement on the White House lawn is similar to the idea of me speaking “chipmunk” and explaining to them what’s happening when I leave gifts. But that’s impossible because I exist in a different mental realm and couldn’t possibly communicate with them “on their level”. Curious to hear other opinions on this.
