My girlfriend’s grandad, who lives on a farm in the deep woods of Gilmore County, told me about a crash a few of his buddies discovered while out in the “Holler” (wooded valley). He mentioned that government agents in unmarked vehicles were already at the scene and had cordoned off the area by the time they arrived. When asked about the incident, the agents said they couldn’t disclose why they were there. According to him, the agents were there all night; one of the neighbors, who looked like something out of “Wrong Turn,” managed to scare an agent asleep in their truck. By morning, whatever was there had been packed up and removed. I’m curious if anyone on Reddit could dig into this crash to determine if there was anything suspicious going on, or if it really was just a balloon crash. Why would there be a military balloon so far out there? What information were they gathering? I know it originated from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, which has lots of strange stories surrounding it.
