I am very new to the UFOs topic but as many others I got much more into it after the famous NYT article in 2017. After the congress hearings, the whistleblowers interviews and with the mainstream media covering the topic more and more I thought that at least the existence of UAPs was out of the “it’s a stupid conspiracy” basket.
Recently I found this thread on r/ Skeptic and I found many counterarguments that are still considered valid by many:
until there is any substantial evidence, any testimony is just not credible enough even to admit that UFOs actually exist even military personnel or highly trained officials can be subject to “misperception, optical illusions, lapses in attention, identification errors, memory errors, misinterpretation, biased thinking, unfounded logical leaps, or anything else” so basically nobody is reliable “Luis Elizando admitted that the so-called Pentagon program he claimed to run was not “official” or even “delegated” to him in an official capacity. It was his damn personal project” so his whole thing may be a big hoax several sources talking about the theory that Fraser’s tic tac was instead a glare caused by the camera and a parallax error
What do you think about those who still consider the whole topic a fraud? Do you even consider the possibility we are all terribly wrong? Do you hang out in r/skeptic or other similar subs or you just stay away from the discussion all together?
