Time Dilation (A story from my Great Grandfather)

I want to start this by saying that by no means do I expect anyone to believe me, nor do I have any evidence of what I’m about to say. I am simply recounting a conversation that happened many years ago which has always sparked my curiosity, even more so now that I am learning about time dilation.

I spent a lot of time with my great grandfather back in 2011 during his final days. He was a relatively healthy man, both physically and mentally, nearly his entire life. Even in his 80’s, he could swim laps around us youngsters. He passed due to natural causes. One day he was helping me build a porch, the next day he was in bed nearing death. He was a no bullshit, straight shooter type of person. He was not the type of person to tell a lie, ever. I say this to make note that there was no reason to doubt his mental state nor his likelihood of lying.

He was an orphaned triplet, only discovering his siblings later in his life. He was a very secretive individual, meaning he didn’t speak much of his life or his past. He was very a “live in the now” type. He liked to spend hours on the lake fishing, and enjoyed the silence of the world. I always found him to be the most fascinating person I had ever met. It’s hard to explain, but there was just something about him, almost like he lived a very difficult life and carried many a burden.

During his final week on this earth, I spent nearly every moment I could with him. He seemed a lot happier than usual. He was much more open and willing to converse and share details of his life. One thing he told me has plagued my curiosity, and for years, I have attributed this to perhaps a decline in his cognitive functions. But now that more disclosure on bizarre phenomena and things such as time dilation enter my understanding, I am questioning the validity of this particular account.

We never knew he was even in the military. He shared many a story about his time in the service with me during our conversations. Even my father, who was basically raised by my great grandfather, knew nothing of his service. He was my father’s best friend, and it’s always been very strange to me that he never knew his was in the military. My father found out after his passing as we were going through his belongings and found some of his records. I remember my father being quite surprised. I was surprised and remember saying “oh, you didn’t know he was in the Air Force?” My father was baffled and asked me how the hell I knew. I told him about the stories he had shared with me. But even my father didn’t believe the one I am about to detail. He, too, attributed this to a mental decline at death and thought it was just a crazy story. It may have been. Who knows?

This is going to sound nuts, but I am just stating what he told me that day. Believe it if you want. Even I didn’t at first, but I’m seriously starting to reconsider. To get right in to it, my great grandfather told me of a time when he was involved with flights and technology being tested at an Air Force base outside of Nashville, TN. I am assuming that this would be Arnold AFB, but he did not mention the base by name. This would have occurred some time in the mid to late 50’s.

He started by saying, “Son, you’re not going to believe this, but that’s ok. One day you might.” He told me he was a helicopter pilot, and on this occasion, he was tasked with test flying a helicopter. He stated he would fly them up and around for a bit then sit them back down. But this time, he mentioned that as he was flying, things started to get weird in the cockpit. His instruments began to go haywire, the helicopter began to shake violently, and the atmosphere around him started to get dark, almost as if he were in a storm. His comms went completely dark.

He stated that he began to panic and lose consciousness. He feared he was about to crash and die. The last thing he remembered was trying to regain control of the helicopter before he passed out. Ok, so here is when it gets very fucking weird. He told me that he regained consciousness and somehow had landed the helicopter, only he wasn’t in Tennessee anymore. He was in Alaska. He did not mention where exactly, but he did state he was at another base and his helicopter was surrounded by military, although people he had never met before. He looked at his watch and 22 minutes had passed from the time his test flight started. This literally seemed impossible, which is why I always discounted this story. He stated that he felt very sick and was having trouble moving. He had to have help taking off his gear and getting out of the helicopter.

He said he was told to never speak of what had happened there that day. They took him inside of a building where he spent the night. They immediately gave him food and water, and a short time later, he was analyzed by doctors for several hours. They drew blood, took X-rays, all that good stuff. The next morning, he was put on an airplane and came back to Tennessee. He laughed and said “oh, boy, what a life.”

I don’t know what to think these days. Like I said, I always thought this was crazy. But as I learn more and more about UFO/UAP, time dilation, wormhole technology, gravity manipulation, the possibility of the MH370 videos being real, etc., I am reconsidering that this may have actually happened to him. As I stated early on, I never knew this man to tell a lie. I don’t understand why he would lie at the end of his life. Not trying to convince anyone or anything like that. Simply sharing a story that was told to me by the one person in my life who I trusted and looked up to the most. I’m sure a lot of you will call me crazy and say I’m making shit up. Say whatever you want. It will not bother me. I know what was told to me, and still don’t necessarily believe it. I just wanted to get this written out and off of my mind as it has been really fucking with me lately.

Have a great day.
