Saw last night in the sky

I saw lights like these last night in the sky. The first picture is a digital drawing I did of what I saw. The second is of lights someone spotted over Singleton/Cessnock, but looks very much like what I saw. Mine were spotted in the middle of the US.

They didn’t look like they were moving at all, but by the time I pulled out my phone to get a picture, I looked up and they were gone. I got home probably just about a minute later and didn’t see anything in the sky. Was it a plane?
