I’ve been thinking about the “gatekeepers” reasons for concealing disclosure and the best arguments I can think of are:
1) National security (prevent enemies from gaining asymmetrical warfare advantage).
2) Greed (disruption of current economic status quo).
3) Benevolence (preserving current way-of-life or protecting humans and NHI from each other).
4) Dogma (religious-centric reasons).
5) Other (not listed above).
1 makes sense and is the most plausible to me, but to keep the US Executive and Congressional branches of government in the dark seems like a huge misstep. Also, there are rumblings that too much compartmentalization is immeasurably dragging the research down. Good intentions, counterproductive results.
2 makes sense from a social sciences viewpoint, but in order for there to be a payoff, the “investors”, if you will, would require a LOT of proof in order to invest their money… also I simply don’t think the elite 1% would maintain the discipline to keep a secret like this quiet.
3 is wishful thinking. I doubt hundreds of people are risking their lives and breaking the law to save me from the “others”. Someone somewhere would say, “Hey, we’re out here risking our lives to save yours, we deserve to be treated in kind.” I don’t know what JSOC, CIA, and FBI employees are doing, but I know that they exist.
4 makes me laugh. One thing the religious can’t do is STFU. They’d be out in the streets yelling about how they’re saving us from demons and such… and then ask for a donation.
5 gets me thinking: what if the deep state is a bunch of NHI that have assumed human form? That actually makes the most sense to me (after #1).
What do you think?
