A little holiday poem that might cause a stir…

The Night Before Griftmas

‘Twas the night before ascension, in a trailer park divine, Where Brother Greer’s followers, in tents, did brightly shine. Their tin foil-wrapped heads glistened, in the moon’s celestial glow, Dreaming of Zeta Reticuli, where love forever flows.

Greer, in sequined jumpsuit, paced before the swaying throng, His voice, a velvet tremor, spun a cosmic, glittery song. “My brothers, sisters, fear not! The ships are drawing near, To bathe us in their radiance, banish every earthly tear!”

He spun tales of Pleiadeans, with eyes of starlit gold, And Venusian dancers, whose stories never grow old. Of galactic civilizations, in harmony and light, Where knowledge flows like rivers, and hearts burn ever bright.

“Forget the Roswell wreckage, the grays with piercing stares,” He bellowed, eyes ablaze, “Those tales are poisoned snares! No reptilian nightmares, no probing, cruel delight, Just cosmic friends and lovers, bathed in eternal light!”

His flock, they swayed and chanted, “Praise Greer, the chosen one! He holds the cosmic key, the race is nearly won!” They’d sold their cars and houses, embraced the desert heat, For Greer’s celestial promises, so utterly sweet.

His words, like polished crystals, hid a grifter’s cunning art, Fake photos, blurry videos, stolen from another’s heart. CE-5 lights in meadows, staged with earthly beams, While Greer amassed their riches, living off their cosmic dreams.

But whispers spread like wildfire, doubts danced in starry eyes, As empty pockets echoed, beneath the desert skies. For hope, though radiant, needs a grounded, earthly root, And cosmic love can’t pay the bills, or silence inner loot.

So beware the starry siren songs, the prophets draped in light, Whose pockets overflow with cash, while yours are dark as night. For truth often whispers softly, not in glittery decree, And cosmic wisdom thrives on doubt, as well as ecstasy.

So let the desert winds of reason, blow through your starry dreams, Seek knowledge from all corners, in starlight and sunbeams. For the universe unfolds its secrets, to eyes both open wide, And hearts that hold both wonder, and a touch of earthly pride.
