Alaska UFO Incident (2023)

I’ve always wondered why the UFO community let some of the most significant public interactions and incidents involving UFOs slip from the collective memory.

The Alaska UFO incident in February 2023, was described as an unidentified object that entered U.S. airspace, prompting a response from the Air Force. This object, similar in size to a compact car, was traveling at around 40,000 feet and what said to pose a risk to civilian aviation.

Despite efforts to understand or recover the object after it was neutralized and crashed into the Beaufort Sea, the search was eventually called off due to challenges in recovery. The nature and origins of the object remain officially unexplained. The public bought this story and the story was closed.

Later, a UFO was sighted in Bakersfield on a truck, an object resembling a classic saucer UFO caused quite a stir as it was transported, with considerable security and logistical support, across California. The proximity of this event to significant aerospace locations like Lockheed’s Skunk Works and Edwards Air Force Base was confirmed for where it was heading.

The fading interest in such significant sightings begs the question of the lack of public engagement and the role of media and authorities in sustaining attention on potentially transformative events. I find it bizarre that the community let this slip away.
