Incident Summary: On departure from Toronto (CYYZ) on a scheduled flight to Saskatoon (CYXE) Air Canada flight 1125, (ERJ-190, registration C-FNAI), encountered a UAV located approximately 1.5 mile beyond threshold 05 on an extended centerline. The UAV was yellow/black in colour and in flight for about 1 minute at a time. Departing aircraft deviated from standard instrument departure (SID) to avoid the UAV which at times was at approximately 2200 feet ASL.

Incident Summary: C-FMZU, an Embraer ERJ 190-100 aircraft operated by Air Canada as flight ACA1123 from Toronto/LBPIA, ON (CYYZ) to Saskatoon/John G. Diefenbaker Intl, SK (CYXE), was on a 2.5 mile final approach for Runway 09 when the aircraft encountered what seems to be a UAV or a radio controlled (RC) model aircraft. The UAV/RC model came within approximately 100 feet of ACA1123. The flight continued and landed without further event.

Incident Summary: C-GLQL, a de Havilland DHC-8-402 aircraft operated by Porter Airlines, was conducting flight POE204 from Ottawa/MacDonald-Cartier Intl, ON (CYOW) to Toronto/Billy Bishop Toronto City, ON (CYTZ). While passing through 8300 feet approximately 29 nautical miles East on the initial approach to CYTZ, the flight crew noticed an object directly ahead on their flight path. The object appeared to be solid, approximately 5 to 8 feet in diameter and shaped like an upright doughnut or inner tube. There appeared to be no relative movement and the object was rapidly getting closer to the aircraft. The captain overrode the autopilot in order to quickly descend the aircraft under the object. The object passed slightly to the right and above the aircraft. There was no impact. Both cabin crew members were in the process of securing the cabin for arrival and were not seated. They received minor injuries when they were thrown into the cabin structure. The aircraft subsequently landed at CYTZ without further incident. There were no reported passenger injuries or damage to the aircraft.

Incident Summary: C-GGOF, a de Havilland DHC-8-402 aircraft operated by Jazz Aviation LP, was conducting flight JZA584 from Calgary Intl, AB (CYYC) to Saskatoon/John G. Diefenbaker Intl, SK (CYXE). The aircraft was just below 1000 ft agl, on a 3 nm final approach to Runway 27 with clearance to land. The flight crew observed a red and white drone travelling eastward. The drone passed directly overhead within 50 feet of their altitude. The flight crew reported the incident to ATC. ATC advised that there was known UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) activity within the area, but conflicts were not expected. The NOTAM references an unrelated UAV operation south of the airport.

While at approximately 2000 ft. asl, on a 4 nm final approach to Runway 31 at CTWG, the aircraft passed approximately 100 feet below an unknown airborne object. The object was octagonal in shape and bright red in colour. The flight crew did not make an evasive manoeuvre but reported the event to ATC. The aircraft landed without further incident.

Incident Summary: C-FGQK, un appareil de type DHC-8-100 exploité par Jazz Aviation LP sous l’indicatif AC8964, effectuait un vol régulier selon les règles de vol aux instruments au départ de l’aéroport de Mont-Joli, QC (CYYY) à destination de Baie-Comeau, QC (CYBC). Durant l’approche pour CYBC à 3500 pieds, l’équipage a reçu un avis de résolution du système de surveillance du trafic et d’évitement des collisions (TCAS) les avisant de descendre. L’équipage a suivi les directives du TCAS et a immédiatement augmenté le taux de descente à 1700 pieds par minute. L’équipage n’a pas eu de contact visuel avec le trafic en conflit. Incident Summary: C-FDJA, a Bombardier CL-600-2B19 CRJ200 aircraft operated by Jazz Aviation LP, was conducting flight JZA8172 from Montreal/Pierre Elliott Trudeau Intl (CYUL), QC to Washington/Dulles Intl (KIAD), VA with 4 crew members and 48 passengers on board. During the descent for the approach to Runway 1R into KIAD at 4000 feet ASL, the aircraft encountered a near miss with a drone. The device passed at less than a wingspan away to the right of the aircraft, and at the same altitude. The flight crew described it as a 4-blade drone. ATC was advised. There were no injuries, and the aircraft landed without further incident.

Approaching final approach fix runway 13 in KLGA at 1300 feet ASL, in a left hand bank, flight crew reported passing an unidentified object approximately 10 feet above Captain’s window. Flight crew informed ATC but could not identify the object. Flight landed in KLGA without further incident.
