Am I missing something wien it comes to Lex Friedman and why he gets high statured, well regarded people while being a horrible interviewer?

I struggle to even finish an episode, even if it’s focused on subjects and individuals that I have high interest in because he is such a tepid, stilted interviewer with the most amateur delivery of elementary level questions.

What am I missing and am I being too hard on the guy? Someone like Jesse Michels conducts interviews in a more laidback style, using terms that are far less academic, but is extremely approachable, accessible and informative.

As someone on the spectrum, I believe friedman falls into that category, but Jesus is he awful at his job
