Communicating with the NHI – could racism be potentially a problem to consider?

I tagged the post 18+ in hopes not to turn this post in a sterile mess. This is not a bait, I am legitimately concerned about some personal considerations that I wanted to share with you.

So I was thinking, that is kinda remarkable what adaptation to the environment could do to particular birds, the so called Darwin’s finches, because they all seem to be originating from the same common ancestor, and yet adaptation over the course of centuries made it so they will have very different physical features depending on the environment they needed to adapt to in order to survive.

The same happened with us human beings, that’s why we have different body features, because it is the result of centuries of evolutionary adaptation. But we’re just talking about this one planet, where the conditions are different enough to originate different biomes but at the same time the difference is not too much because that would not allow life to happen at all.

But what would happen if a group of us would travel onto another planet and colonize it? Maybe over the centuries because of the “alien” (which means unknown to us) environmental conditions to which we would be exposed we would be slowly changing, adapting to the surroundings and slowly becoming something else. Maybe it would happen even on a planet with similar earth’s biomes and similar air, so that we don’t even have to use life support of any kind.

Let’s now assume with this train of thought that at some point for some reasons we would want to go back “home” and see how the rest of us are doing. Only now we are so different psychically compared to them that we might be unrecognizable… And given the circumstances here on earth and how physical differences are still enough for us to harm each others, it’s understandable to me that they don’t really want to have too much about us.

So I don’t know, just something I wanted to share, what do you think?
