Did I actually see a UFO?

This happened in 2020 but I can never forget and not many people believe me. Long story short there’s no picture but rather than an observation using my eye, also iPhone 7 Plus at that time couldn’t really do much of a night sky. But anyway, it was back in 2020, my friends and I were visiting Yosemite in NorCal. We had an Airbnb not too far from the park, so still in that area. One night we were all in the hot tub outdoors and I started stargazing. There was few clouds in the sky but not much, overall it’s clear enough and I can see planes flying etc and tons of stars. I noticed a satellite looking star, bright, moving very slowly. My dad and I used to watch satellites a lot when I was little, so to me a satellite is a brighter star like thing in the sky and can move slowly overtime.

Then the fun part began, the “satellite” suddenly start to accelerate in one direction(close to the direction it was moving slowly), then it made a big U turn in the sky, like it drew a check mark ✔️ in the sky. All these happened extremely fast, most likely less than half a second(counting from the acceleration). My first thought was – this is not a man made aircraft or flying object. Then it disappeared in the sky. I told my friends but they wouldn’t believe me and one of my friends claimed he saw it as well. Point being is if he also saw it as well in a short period of time, that kinda thing might be way more common than I thought.

Has anyone experienced anything similar to this? Hope I’m not alone 😅
