Representative Mike Turner, the Chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, is facing criticism for his seemingly dismissive approach to serious allegations by highly-cleared whistleblowers regarding rogue U.S. government programs related to Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP). Former senior intelligence officer David Grusch has publicly expressed frustration, as Congressman Turner has not followed up on his testimony about covert programs dealing with non-human materials lacking Congressional oversight. The Intelligence Community’s Inspector General has deemed the allegations “credible and urgent,” but Turner’s lack of investigation and his public comments questioning the whistleblowers’ knowledge have raised considerable concerns about his handling of the matter.
