Congress reconvenes on September 5th. Right now this sub is all over the place with threads about the plane, The Intercept, and other stuff, and obviously this is fine; that’s what this sub is for–but don’t forget about the big picture: ensuring Congress follows through on their promises. We (very conveniently, from the Pentagon’s point of view) have over a month between that groundbreaking Congressional hearing and Congress’ next session. We should all be prepared to reapply pressure to our Congressional leaders on day one when they reconvene otherwise there’s a 100% chance we’re going to see this whole thing swept under the rug.

I set an alarm for September 5th and I suggest you all do the same.
