![I don’t have any digital media but wanted to share my two sightings regardless. (1995 & 2023)](https://martianmaterial.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/ufo1.png)
Heya. I’ve forever been fascinated with UAPs and relevant topics, so I’d love to share these with other folks who can read them without the immediate ‘you’re crazy’ filter. Here you are.
Orange County, CA. Spring 1995. ~4 years old.
(An important thing to note is that the street my parents live on backs up to a very large park, so they don’t have neighbors on the west/south sides of the lot.)
I’m outside with my dad and we’re lying on the grassy area between our house and our neighbor’s. The sun is setting, so we’re looking up at sky, admiring all the colors. Just as the sun dips below the horizon and darkness starts to pull itself over the neighborhood like a blanket, my dad goes inside the house for a few minutes, saying he’ll be right back.
I remember this next… someone drove down the street quickly and loudly in some beater car, catching my attention. A couple seconds later, I laid down on my back again and looked up.
All I could see, in about 90% of my overall peripheral vision, was a huge, insanely bright white light. It was just suddenly there. It didn’t look like a bulb or anything that actually emitted light, but it was just an absolutely blinding pure white… nothingness. It was flat looking like there was both no depth and infinite depth in it at the same time. The light did seem to slightly flare from centermost area.
There was total silence, and I remember being able to hear extremely quiet sounds, like the grass against my back and neck as I breathed. If I had to guess, as I remember it, this ‘light’ was probably just under 100 feet in the air. It was completely still, not affected by any outside elements.
About five seconds later it smoothly and slowly hovers at what seems to be the same height over me, over my parent’s backyard, and over the park for just a second, before the light slowly dropped as if it was ‘landing.’ I ran to the block wall and climbed up to look and that shit was gone.
I have no idea where it went and nobody else saw it. My dad came back out afterwards and for some reason I never shared it. The light from whatever it was didn’t even actually illuminate the surrounding area (as I understand physics). Imagine having an extremely bright flashlight and the light only travels a certain distance before stopping abruptly.
I’ve never seen anything else like it and felt kinda crazy for some time.
Orange County, CA. October 2023.
My husband and I have lived in north Orange County for five years and I’m very familiar with the sky, as I’ve lived here my whole life.
One morning I had this feeling that I needed to look outside. The sun was rising so the sky was light. The urge wasn’t a threatening or heavy feeling but it was more subconscious.
I walked out the front door and my brain immediately grabbed onto this white light in the sky, southwest from the house. I locked my eyes on it and I felt it strange. If you held a single grain of rice up in the air, it was probably about half that size, visually. It was like an extremely bright star, but it was a solid, non-flickering light. This could have been hundreds of miles away for all I know. I have trouble with estimating depth normally.
Then just as quickly as I noticed it, it ‘phased out.’ It didn’t ‘die,’ it wasn’t a reflection of space junk/satellites, but almost like the last ember of a fire, it went out. I was staring at it when it happened.
I couldn’t believe it. I stared into the empty sky for a while after that one. I actually think about this a handful of times a week when I look up at that area of the sky just because of how unusual it was.
Wish I had anything more exciting to share but I love this sub. Thanks party people.
