Hi r/UFOS, I had this amazing UFO sighting over 10 years ago, but I’ve always kept it close to me. I think about it a lot. I finally want to talk about it, and see if anyone else has seen something similar. So this sighting was back in 2012. I was in high school then, and my mom and little brother were picking me up from my school theater practice. For reference, I had always “believed” in UFOs at that point, and thought I had seen a couple in the past, but nothing like this. My mom on the other hand, was always a skeptic of stuff like this, and wasn’t necessarily open to this stuff.
So were were driving back. It was a completely dark night, and pretty rural. My mom says to me, “Hey Spookgirl, there are some pretty weird clouds in the sky coming up close, you should take a look.” She also tells me they have been there for at least an hour. We get to where she describes, and there are these 3-4 GIANT luminous orbs flying in the sky. There are 3-4 orbs, and they are a pale yellow/orange-like color, and brighter than the moon. The orbs are flying and rotating in this almost triangular pattern, and it’s like they are intelligent? It’s like they were being playful with each other in their movement, and as they moved, the orbs would contract and expand WHILE moving. I’m thinking “WTF” obviously, and my family’s reactions were the same. I also remember feeling scared and in awe at the time, because I realized very quickly that I was witnessing something truly supernatural. There was no kind of technology that could do that at the time. I knew, without a doubt, these were 100% real UFOs that we were witnessing, and not of this world. And as we looked longer, you could see almost like small beams? kind of shortly shoot out of the orbs. They also moved FAST and they were high up. Their movement was very fluid. There were clouds in the sky, and they would shoot out of the clouds in their playful, irregular pattern.
There were no storms going on that night, as well as no game/stadium events where there would be lights. This was also in a pretty rural area, so nothing around. And for those who have asked me before why didn’t I try to record? Well you see how hard it is to film these things NOW. Well back then, phone cameras were much worse, and these things were too bright/far/fast to effectively film. I didn’t have access to a professional video camera on a whim, but wish I did. When we got back home, my uncle was around, and my uncle was a scientist and big skeptic. When we excitedly told him about this, he was dumbfounded, and tried to quickly find a possible scientific explanation. He seemed to have realized as well that we had seen legit UAPs. To this day, I have seen many incredible things in this world, but this encounter was the most spectacular of them all.
