Not sure if this has been brought up yet, but a shower thought I had today. If presidents truly are on a “need to know” basis for detailed information regarding UAPs, then Obama would almost undoubtedly need to know any details regarding the disappearance of MH370.
If MH370 was confirmed abducted, why send huge amounts of resources and personnel to look for something that was likely going to be a fruitless search?
While possibly a questionable source, this article claims that the US had two joint training exercises in happening in the Southeast Asian area at time. These were real training exercises happening around the time of MH370’s disappearance.

With such a large presence in the area at the time, the US was perfectly positioned to provide a swift response with real world tasking–the search and rescue response? Two destroyers and a P-8 Poseidon (based on information available).
It could be argued that the US response was already costly and contributed to the cause, but with such a presence in the area, why was there not more done? What about the increase awareness of air radar with air defense exercises happening in the area? Could the drone and satellite footage have been in position because of these training exercises?
To put a final point on this, it seems strange how vocal Obama has been on the phenomena relative to other US presidents–not to mention his involvement in the Barney and Betty Hill documentary. It’s easy to see parallels drawn between this classic case and MH370, if it were to be considered an abduction. I also don’t think it’s unreasonable to think that Trump may have been briefed on the disappearance as it relates to international affairs and infrastructure safety, which corroborates Coulthart’s claims that both Obama and Trump have been briefed.
