I’ve been wanting to write this for a while, but I think it’s kind of ridiculous. But then I realize that this is often the kind of place where ridiculous walks up and goes “hey, hold my beer.” So… I guess, go with me on this?
Is it possible that the official coverup is an integral part of the phenomenon? I don’t know… like there’s some sort of subtle message embedded in this process. Certainly not some Miracle on 34th Street/peter pan nonsense. Where if we all believe hard enough, them aliens gonna land and Tink won’t die.
To me, seems like at least part of this coverup is about sowing distrust in our institutions—specifically our government. I think this is particularly important now, as we see the UAPDA as our best chance in decades to gain some ground on this issue. The trade-off though, is it keeps the USG in the driver’s seat. Sure, there will be more transparency, and they’ll have to own some shiiit, but at the end of the day, they’ll control the messaging.
If they say the “aliens” are here to eat our babies and steal our dogs, then damn the torpedos, let’s write the DOD an oversized blank check because they just won the lottery.
They’re preserving the status quo. That’s their motive. That’s their agenda. If they control the narrative, then the same companies and oligarchs continue to consolidate wealth and power. we’re just going to wind up with the same inequitable, exploitative shitshow we have now, but with, like, flying cars. I’ve seen that movie. It’s called Blade Runner, and that is not the future I want.
I’m certainly not saying we should bail on the UAPDA. We should not. We need to support it, because right now it’s our best shot at getting some sort of official confirmation. But we… humans… citizens… need to figure out how gain control of the narrative and rally people. I just don’t know what this looks like—particularly without some kind of hard proof to point to to say “seee? These motherfuckers have been lying to us for 40% of the time America’s been a goddamn country!”
But that brings me to the second part of this. Merely showing us the cracks in our foundation seems insufficient—I think there’s more here. I think that the other part is “faith.” As an atheist-leaning agnostic, that feels fucking weird to actually put into words.
Nevertheless, I can’t let go of the thing that makes mean agnostic vs an atheist. To trivialize it as much as possible: I took a buttload of psychedelics when I was younger and had a beer and a smoke with the Source.
I’d managed to integrate this into my life pretty well, put it in my back pocket with my phone and just get on the grind. Now this… somehow, so much of what I’ve been seeing ties back to that oneness that suffuses all things. Fuck it. I know there’s something there. I don’t know what it is, but I know it/they/whatever’s there.
I dunno. I’m rambling, but ‘d love to hear what others think. Is this a process? Or have I gone a little nuts? I feel like there’s a crossroads somewhere here. After we call our congresspeople and all that. If the UAPDA gets axed, what do we do? Or, if the UAPDA actually passes, then what do we do? What can we, as a bunch of asshole Redditors with a bizarre common cause do to keep pushing, and to expand this cause for the betterment of humanity?
Credit where it’s due: I think Jacques Vallée may have said something to this effect when discussing the “3-part coverup”
