Hi all, I’m back to drop some analysis. Be forewarned: Many in this subreddit won’t like the conclusion. Please keep in mind that we should seek the truth, not just what we want to see.
Established evidence:
This great work by u/whoismilk163 validated my suspicions that this object is not a smudge, but rather a three dimensional object.
Interview with Michael Cincoski – ISR Tactical Controller at Al-Taqaddum Air Base in Iraq.
Cincoski verifies this incident happened at Al-Taqaddum Air Base. It seems that Jeremy Corbell actually has the date of the incident wrong (wow what a shocker /s). The incident actually occurred in fall of 2017. The video was taken by a surveillance blimp on the base. The presence of this blimp has been verified in satellite imagery of the base around this timeframe.
Regarding the video, Cincoski says it was 17-18 minutes long, and ends with the object floating into Habbaniyah Lake.
Cincoski refutes Corbell’s fantastical claims of video of the object emerging from the lake: “I never saw that. At no point did it ever shoot out of the lake, or into sky.”
This is the craft that the video originated from. The Blimp is flown over the base, and is connected to the ground via a single tether. Any movement of the blimp will be unpowered, slow, and guided by the wind. It’s a relatively stationary platform. The camera used is a Wescam MX-20

This is the video that made everything come together. Looking at the object, you can see that it’s semi-transparent. There is light data of the backdrop coming through the object. While this technically could be compression, due to the amount of data visible I don’t believe this is the case.
The object resembles a bundle of clear plastic ~50 gallon bags tied together, and filled with Helium or some other lighter than air gas. I would very roughly estimate the top portion consists of ~20 inflated bags. The bottom portion of the object consists of popped or deflated plastic bags hanging below the inflated bags. Initially the objects appear static, but you can see subtle slight movements of the deflated bags moving in the wind in the enhanced video. Due to parallax, it’s very difficult to estimate the actual speed of the object, but I think it’s safe to say based on the movement that it’s quite low and consistent.
I would love to hear your thoughts. Please try to stay objective and leave emotions out of the discussion.
