I’m sorry if this has been asked recently. I follow this sub perhaps more closely than I should but I haven’t seen much discussed about this lately. I’ve had issues sleeping for a while (not related to ufos) and figured just watching the sky for an hour or two before bed could help as well as provide me an opportunity to see something for myself. Why wait for definitive proof and evidence when I can maybe get my own?
However if I’m going to do it I’d like to do it right. I remember there’s an initiative of some sort to help people make observations of their own but I can’t remember what it’s called. I figure they have some pretty good guidelines to follow for catching anomalies but I also think there may be some good ideas floating around in this sub that may not have made it in to their guidelines. Anything you’ve come across is welcome but especially if you think it hasn’t been given the attention it needs.
I’ve got a telescope I intend to rig so maybe I could get a clear image if I do spot something. I’d like to use something with a fast shutter speed for that because the magnification of this telescope may be a little overkill but if I manage to get even a frame of it at a high enough shutter speed maybe some sort of detail could be gleaned? I intend to have multiple recording devices but I’m on a budget. It’ll likely be a phone and a proper digital camera. I know a couple amateur photographers who could lend me something. Though if you know a good (and cheapish) infrared device I’d consider getting one of those too.
On the topic of photography do you think some sort of lens filter could reduce the intensity of self illuminating UFOs? Maybe there’s something beneath the glare?
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Any discussion relevant to making sightings would be welcome. And finally do you think it’s safe to do all this? There may be a couple parties that really don’t want this stuff out. I don’t expect any hard answers to this one. Any speculation is welcome.
Thank you for your consideration.
