Hey everyone. Please forgive a likely stupid question. The other day I was thinking about when my brother and I were in our teens (almost 30 years ago) and were interested in UFOs. We had a number of books, but I started Googling them and found that a couple of them are now seen as a lot less legitimate than we thought.
Over the years, I’ve had four separate experiences with UFOs or UAPs, from early childhood to my mid-20s. So I’m not a total skeptic/non-believer. I just never really pursued it, I guess.
But ever since this jellyfish UAP video hit a couple weeks ago, I’ve been thinking a lot more about this stuff and I’d like to read up more on it. I just don’t want to be reading the phony literature (I think we can all admit there are some jerks out there just trying to profit off of the legitimate study of unexplained phenomena). Would someone mind recommending a couple of the more trustworthy/legit books out there? Also, where does the community stand on Whitley Strieber, Travis Walton and John Keel these days?
Thanks for entertaining a possibly stupid question. Despite my long history with this stuff (including three personal sightings), I’m still very much a novice.
