I was reading people’s UFO experiences on FrostDragon’s thread and wondered if anyone has had a weird experience that could relate to the UFO phenomenon but without actually seeing a physical UFO or being? Confused? Lol, I hear you. This is my first post here and I’m nervous about coming across as nuts (on a UFO forum, I know 😅).
I’ll start by saying that I’ve never seen a UFO. I had an out of body experience, I hadn’t connected it to the UFO phenomenon until recently. I’m still new to the UFO topic, I got into this after seeing Grusch/Fravor/Graves’ testimonies at the congress hearing (happened to be checking out the news online and clicked on the live link to the congress hearing). It’s been a deep dive ever since. I’m at the stage where I feel like many UFO rabbit holes somehow lead back to consciousness, that alongside with having come across remote viewing (Stargate project), I’m now wondering if my experience and OBEs in general are related to all of this.
It’s going to sound weird, I know… but this is my truth. I was around 12-13 years old and I was spending the summer with my maternal grandparents on a workboat (this was a 38 meters long barge “péniche” that was used to transport grain between France/Belgium/Netherlands and Germany). To set the scene, it was a beautiful blue-sky warm sunny afternoon and the boat was moored as my grandfather was off picking up supplies. The barge was carrying a full cargo meaning it was heavy and as a result very stable, we were on a totally flat/quiet canal in France. My grandmother and I were sitting together on the sofa (the living space was tiny, this was a small 2 seater sofa) whilst chatting, I don’t remember the conversation as it wasn’t particularly interesting. Not sure why but I felt the need to look towards the chimney which was not far in front of me a bit to my right. l turned my head to look and saw the left corner of the painting that was set on the chimney lift up a couple inches or so for a few seconds then drop back down – I also heard the loud bang of the wooden frame hitting the metal edge the painting was resting on. I was shocked. As I turned back to look at my grandma, I started saying “did you..” then I was suddenly forcefully pulled upwards and whooshed up into the air. I hovered floating above, I felt weightless, I could think like normal and I could see my surroundings, my grandma was there hovering next to me (I would describe her as looking like a non-solid form of her physical self). I turned around and looked down to see the two of us (our physical bodies) still sat on the sofa, we didn’t appear to be asleep/passed out, we were still sat up and looked frozen. Not long after I’m again suddenly pulled/sucked back down into my body; physically the out/in felt brutal, this wasn’t a gentle float in and out. I was completely confused, I did not feel scared but I wanted a rational explanation as to what had happened (like was the boat hit and we’d been propelled up) or how any of this could even work (like how could I see from up above if my physical eyes and brain were with my physical body down below). I looked around and the boat wasn’t rocking, nothing around me had moved or was still moving. The wind chime hanging on the window right next to us wasn’t swinging and hadn’t made a sound, the glass bird decorations hanging on other windows hadn’t banged on the windows and weren’t moving either. There hadn’t been a big wave or anything, I looked out the windows and no other boat had passed us etc, the water was flat. I asked my grandma if she’d just “whooshed out” and she responded that she had. My brain hadn’t glitched, we discussed it and concluded that we’d just experienced the exact same thing. I was confused with a wtf attitude; she was super calm and fine about the whole thing. She explained that whenever she’s had anesthesia for a surgery she would experience the same thing and hover above herself witnessing the whole procedure and hearing everything that’s happening (apparently she’s freaked out her surgeons by telling them all the details she’d seen). The whole thing sounds crazy so I never spoke to anyone else about this until I brought it up to my mom recently. She shared that in her twenties she’d experienced what she called the “helicopter”. She’d just laid down in bed then suddenly was lifted up into the air and spun around really fast like the spinning blades of a helicopter 😳
I’ve heard Pasulka and Kripal (SOL conference) link religious levitations to the UFO phenomenon but that seemed to be their physical bodies. I’m not religious btw. Has anyone come across any connections between out of body experiences and the UFO phenomenon (consciousness, inter-dimensional, energy/frequency waves etc)? I feel like this is could all be connected somehow.
Thank you for reading and giving me a space to share.
