[Opinion] I resent the idea that secrets cannot be kept.

As the title says, I hate when people say something along the lines of “if such and such were true, it would have been leaked. A group of people can’t keep a secret”.

Why on Earth would anyone think that? Plenty of secrets are taken to the grave. Not to mention the fact that it’s much easier to keep certain secrets when you and your families lives are threatened.

Conspiracies do happen, such as assassinations, and those responsible are not always caught, especially by way of someone involved leaking the information.

Just because the average person might struggle to keep a secret, and indulges in gossip, that doesn’t mean that there aren’t people out there who are more disciplined, and able to keep a secret.
