Hey everyone! This is my first post here — in fact, this is my first Reddit post ever, but I’ve been a lurker for a while. I had an interesting but non-earth-shattering experience when I was 9 or 10 years old, and given all the recent developments in UAP news and the sudden uptick in activity on this sub, I thought I’d check to see if anyone has ever seen anything similar.

One clear night in rural Central Texas, in approximately 1992 or 1993, I was at a neighborhood friend’s house, and we were laying out on her trampoline talking and stargazing. I was staring up at the section of sky directly above me, when I saw 3 stars that were clustered in a small triangle just suddenly “rotate” their positions — I don’t think it was a clockwise or counterclockwise movement, but a sudden jumble and switching of places that lasted only a second, before returning to just being regular old stationary stars.

I was definitely awake and lucid. I distinctly remember blinking and rubbing my eyes like a cartoon character does after they see something unbelievable.

I lost track of the 3 “stars” at some point though I did stare up at them for a while to make sure they didn’t move again. I didn’t see anything else out of the ordinary for the rest of the night.

I didn’t ask my friend if she’d seen anything — she was kind of mean-girl-adjacent, and I figured she’d probably laugh or call me a liar. It was one of those situations where she was really just my “friend” because we lived close to each other in a rural neighborhood with few kids our age.

I do recall another time, I’m not sure if it was before or after this experience, where we were laying out on her trampoline in the daytime (haha I guess there just wasn’t much else to do in 1992 except stare up!) and we both saw a white object floating slowly way up in the sky that moved like a balloon, so I figure it was a weather balloon, looking back.

Anyway, I just wanted to see if anyone had ever experienced this star rotation phenomenon, or something similar. Thanks!
