Sandstone Point, Queensland, Australia UFO sighting July 2nd-9th 2011

I know this sighting was a while back but I’ve been sitting on it for years because I’ve never found another eye-witness account despite knowing I saw many other people watching the sky that night.

I can’t remember the exact date or time. I was with my Dad at the Sandstone Point IGA. We had just pulled out of the parking lot after watching the bats take off at sunset from the trees behind the IGA. We’re driving down Bestmann Road when we both saw a string of lights in the sky. My Dad brought the car to a stop, and we watched the sky in amazement. I remember looking around and seeing people out in their driveways watching the sky, other cars around us had come to a stop to look, some people have even got out of their cars. It literally appeared out of nowhere hovered in place for 5 minutes before zooming over the top of us and just disappearing. It was 5 bright white lights slightly curved. As someone how had believed in UFOs and Aliens for the longest time I remember telling my Dad ‘I told you Aliens where real’. He spent the rest of the drive back to his place cursing about how the one day he decided to leave his camera home was the day we saw a UFO.

For the longest time after I thought I was mad or that I imagined it but my Dad recently confirmed I didn’t make it up and he remembers it just as I do so I was hoping maybe someone else remembers seeing this UFO too.
