Schumer’s amendment/Burchett’s amendment

I’ve been seeing some comments and posts insisting that if Schumer’s amendment gets passed, then it will automatically allow for the full disclosure of 8 UFO/UAP crash-retrievals as well as any UFO/UAP documents that are 25+ years old, assuming they don’t threaten national security.

I’m pretty sure that this is incorrect. From Schumer’s amendment:

“At the latest, each UP record must be publicly disclosed in full and made available in the Collection no later than 25 years after the law is enacted, unless the President certifies that continued postponement is necessary because of a direct harm to national security. The amendment will be modeled on the President John F. Kennedy Assassination Records Collection Act of 1992 which required that documents regarding the Kennedy Assassination be made public no later than 25 years later after enactment.”

I’m afraid Gaetz was right, after all. If Burchett’s amendment isn’t included with Schumer’s amendment, then we won’t be hearing a peep for 25 years 🤷🏻‍♂️
