Skepticism for Ideological Reasons

i think its safe to say that most of the skepticism that goes on around here is ideologically motivated. people detect that the UFO topic is a threat, and so they come to this sub to attack and/or defend.

that means they want to discredit, not investigate. for example they won’t spend time reading about a UFO case or theory, they will just try to discredit it. but since they skip the investigation stage, they reveal ignorance during their effort to discredit.

which makes it hard to take them seriously.
