Dogs have dichromatic vision. The ‘world’ (as we know it) is only yellow and blue to them. The entirety of their experience is limited to a gradation of two colors.

Humans are trichromatic. The entirety of our experience is limited to gradations of three colors. What’s funny is that we know that there are large swaths of the spectrum that we can’t naturally detect. Yet, we convince ourselves that our perception of the world is an apex experience.

Watch this video of a simple prank performed on a dog. Imagine you’re a dog viewing the out-of-context, time-shifted facsimile of yourself.
